Biography
Alina Troglio joined the Institute of Biomedical Informatics in April 2026 as a researcher in medical informatics. She holds a master’s degree in computer science from RWTH Aachen University, with a minor in medicine. Currently, she pursues her PhD at the Institute for Neurophysiology at the University Hospital Aachen. She also worked as a research assistant in the Centre for Interdisciplinary Pain Medicine at the University Hospital of Würzburg. In her PhD work, she focuses on biosignal analysis and data infrastructure to optimize both medical and computational workflows. Her research centers on developing data-driven pipelines and applying machine learning methods to improve experimental processes and clinical research with a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration and on building bridges between computer science and medical use cases.
