Biography
Ahmad Abu Dayeh studied Medicine at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences from 2015 to 2021. His medical degree thesis focused on correlating anxiety and depressive symptoms with internet use habits. He then pursued a master's in Biomedical Informatics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (2021–2023), where his thesis examined physician adherence to hypertension treatment guidelines. Throughout his studies, he gained experience in clinical notes analysis, machine learning, and FAIR data management. Since October 2024, Ahmad has been a PhD candidate at the University of Cologne within the BullNet Marie Curie Doctoral Training Network. His research focuses on developing knowledge graphs that facilitate distributed machine learning while ensuring privacy-sensitive data management. He also explores the use of large language models for automating tasks such as clinical text coding and knowledge graph construction.
