Biography

Adam Graefe is a medical doctor who received his Approbation in December 2025. He completed his medical studies at the University Hospital Cologne and Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. For the past four years, he has been conducting his thesis and research in bioinformatics and medical informatics with a focus on rare diseases. His work centers on developing and deploying software solutions that improve interoperability in rare disease registries, while enabling data processing and analysis through internationally recognized data standards.

on demand Seminar "Paradigm shifts in medical reasoning: Revisiting basics of the Scientific Methodology in Clinical Medicine "

This course aims to offering a new perspective for reading and interpreting the four papers of A.R. Feinstein on the `Scientific Methodology in Clinical Medicine¿ that appeared in 1964 and had a significant impact on clinical investigation, especially on the field of clinical epidemiology that Feinstein helped define. The aim of this Wahlblock is to offer the students the opportunity to revisit basics of the Scientific Methodology in Clinical Medicine as this was historically presented in four consecutive papers in 1964 concerning: (I.) Introduction, Principles, and Concepts, (II.) Classification of Human Disease by Clinical Behavior, (III.) The Evaluation of Therapeutic Response and (IV.) Acquisition of Clinical Data, and offering them the chance of situating them with the proliferation of machine learning, artificial intelligence technologies.
