FLAME - Federated Learning and Analyses in Medicine

FLAME (Federated Learning and Analysis in Medicine) is a novel software platform designed to enable secure, decentralized data analysis within the Medical Informatics Initiative (MII). The FLAME platform seamlessly integrates proven technologies to revolutionize medical data analysis, ensuring robustness, security, and compliance while driving progress in research and data privacy. As part of the PrivateAIM project, it will provide the MII with a secure and scalable solution for cross-institutional medical data analysis. We are shaping the future of trustworthy and impactful medical research by enabling AI-driven healthcare innovations while preserving patient privacy. It follows three key principals: - Data Remains Local - Patient data stays secure within hospital systems, never leaving its protected environment. - Code to Data Approach - Analysis algorithms travel to the data instead of moving sensitive information. - Federated Analysis - Results are aggregated across institutions while preserving privacy and enhancing research quality.
