Description

This project is designed to leverage from the experience of the German research team in PADME project and to skills transfer to bridge the gap between Tunisian academic research and practical applications in healthcare data through an intensive knowledge transfer initiative. It focuses on the implementation of federated learning and Data Lakehouse architectures, two advanced technologies with transformative potential in healthcare analytics. The project brings together the University Hospital of Cologne’s Biomedical Informatics Institute team and the Data Engineering and Semantics Research Unit at the University of Sfax. Each team brings distinct strengths: the German team contributes expertise in federated learning, distributed analytics, and data compliance, while the Tunisian team offers experience in data engineering, and infrastructure management in applied settings. Through this collaboration, both teams aim to create a robust, privacy-compliant data infrastructure tailored for healthcare applications.
