University Hospital Halle (Saale)

The University Hospital Halle (Saale) is the nationally recognised maximum care provider for difficult, severe and rare diseases and injuries in southern Saxony-Anhalt. We treat patients according to the latest scientific findings. We benefit from close links with the Medical Faculty of Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. Our focus is on cardiovascular diseases and oncology. In diagnostics and therapy, we can use special techniques such as the modern hybrid operating theatre in our Central German Heart Centre with cardiac surgery and cardiology or the ‘Da Vinci’ surgical robot in urology. Our transplant centre, which has been in existence for more than 40 years, transplants more than 40 kidneys annually, including a particularly high number of living donations. In our perinatal centre, life-saving procedures can be performed even before birth.
