NIIOS stands for Netherlands Institute for Innovative Ocular Surgery. NIIOS is an independent organization that furthers innovation in ophthalmic surgery. The primary focus is developing and refining corneal transplantation techniques for diseases such as Fuchs endothelial dystrophy, keratoconus and bullous keratopathy. Specialists worldwide are increasingly adopting these NIIOS-pioneered techniques.

ARREST BLINDNESS

ARREST BLINDNESS is a consortium performing a four-year research project funded by the HORIZON 2020 program of the European Commission. Within the project we are developing and validating advanced regenerative and restorative therapies to treat the loss of corneal transparancy so that it does not result in blindness.
